How much does a home EV charger cost to install?
Most home installs land between £800 and £1,500 fitted, depending on how far the cable has to run and whether the fuse board needs work. The survey settles it.
Can I have a charger if I park on the street?
Usually not. Trailing a cable across a pavement is not permitted in most areas. Some councils run gully schemes, so it is worth asking them first.
Do I need planning permission for solar?

How long do solar panels take to pay for themselves?

What is MCS and does it matter?
It is the certification scheme for renewables. It matters because most grants and export tariffs require an MCS certified installer, so an uncertified install can cost you money later.
Do I need a battery with solar?
No, and plenty of systems work well without one. A battery makes more sense if you are out during the day and use most of your electricity in the evening.
