For plumbers · 13 services set up

The job goes to whoever answers first.

Plumbing is the trade where the work is already there and the reply is what loses it. Somebody with water coming through a ceiling rings three numbers and books the first one that picks up. We answer all of them, in seconds, day or night.

Your site

A page for every job, in every town you cover.

Not one page listing everything you do. Somebody searching emergency plumbing in your town lands on a page about exactly that, in that town, with your number on it.

Page per town

Emergency plumbing

Water where it should not be, at whatever hour. We come out, stop it, and tell you what it needs before we do anything else.

Sinks, toilets and outside drains. Cleared properly with the right kit rather than pushed further down the pipe.

Your assistant

It asks what you would ask.

Not a chatbot that says somebody will be in touch. It establishes what the job is, how urgent it is and where, then either books it or hands it to you.

These are the actual questions set up for plumbers, in the order it asks them.6 in total, and it stops as soon as it knows enough.

Safety

Some messages are not leads.

A gas smell is not a lead to be qualified. It is somebody who needs to be told to get out and ring the emergency line, and it needs to happen before anything tries to sell them a service call.

Matched on the customer’s own words before any AI is involved, so an assistant that has been confused or talked into a strange mode still cannot miss it.

Sent word for word, before anything else

Please stop what you are doing and treat this as an emergency. Open the doors and windows, do not touch any electrical switches, do not smoke, and turn the gas off at the meter if you can reach it safely. Then get everyone outside and ring the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999. They are free and they are open right now. I am letting the team know as well.

5 rules like this are set up for plumbers. Every one of them stops the sale and fetches you.

Trust

Your number, not just the badge.

Nearly every plumber shows the logo. Far fewer print the registration number, and the number is the one a careful customer copies into the register to check you are real.

Photographs

Seven photographs, and we will tell you which seven.

Boilers photograph badly and it does not matter. What converts is tidy pipework and a work area left clean, because both answer the question every customer is actually asking about a stranger in their house.

Questions

What plumbers ask us.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

Depends on the business. Most local plumbers either charge a fixed call-out that comes off the bill, or price the job in one go. We show whatever this business actually does, and never guess.

Are you Gas Safe registered?

Anyone working on gas in the UK has to be. The registration number should be on the website and on the engineer's card, and you can check it on the Gas Safe Register site.

How quickly can someone come out?

Emergencies usually the same day. Everything else depends on the diary, and the booking will only ever offer times the business is genuinely free.

How much is a new boiler?

Too variable to quote without seeing it. The flue, the gas run and the state of the existing system all move the price, so this one always starts with a survey.

Do you work weekends and evenings?

Whatever the business has told us it covers, which is what the site and the booking will show.

Can you service a boiler you did not fit?

Yes. An annual service is an annual service, whoever installed it.
